Portrait of Janet Hello. My name is Janet Kouwenhoven. I am the owner and part-time teacher of Tri-City Community Montessori Inc.

I was born and raised in Vancouver. My husband and I moved to Port Moody in 1997 where we raised our two boys.

My childcare education includes an ECE Diploma from Burnaby College and a Montessori Teaching Certificate from NAMC. I also have specialized training in Augmentative Communication Systems and Individiualized Education Plans for Special Needs Students.

Tri-City Community Montessori Inc. was opened in 2005 in a small church basement in Port Coquitlam. I operated there for several years before deciding to relocate the facility to my home, where I created a wonderful, peaceful and nurturing environment for all children. The new Centre opened in September of 2014. Please feel free to e-mail or call us to view the Daycare, meet the teachers, and ask about our programs.
Portrait of Laura Hello, my name is Laura Bryer and I am the full-time head teacher at Tri-City Community Montessori.

I was born and raised in Dublin Ireland, where I gained both my Early Childhood Educator Diploma and my Montessori Diplomas in Pre-School & Kindergarten to Grade 3. I also have a Bachelor’s degree in Special Education Autism Studies (Children), from the University of Birmingham in the United Kingdom.

For several years in Dublin, Ireland I taught children, including children on the autism spectrum, both in a pre-school and a mainstream setting. Here in the Lower Mainland, I have been teaching Montessori at several different pre-schools including White Rock and Coquitlam and since May of 2018, I have been with Tri-City Community Montessori in Port Moody. I moved to Burnaby in 2011, where I live with my husband. I enjoy hiking, running and of course, working with children. I look forward to meeting with you and working with your children.
